
Richland Center won a non-conference boys basketball game Monday night at home. The Hornets never trailed on the way to a 70-48 win over Wisconsin Heights. With the win, the Hornets improved to 4-5 and they completed a stretch of 6 games played since December 19th.
The lead grew to 17 by halftime as both Jayden Schoepp and Liam Fingerson scored 12. Both players wound up with 20. Schoepp made 6 three pointers and 2 free throws and Fingerson made 10 2-point baskets. Brady Dosch added 13 for Richland Center. Connor Stoltz had 5 points, Deakyn Heisz scored 4, Kyzan Schwictenburg added 3, Grayson Clements and Shawn Colsch each had 2 and Will Weiss had 1 point. The Hornets were 7 for 13 from the free throw line.
Wisconsin Heights was led by Graham Crowe with 14. Eleven players got in the scoring column for the Vangards. They made 3 three point baskets and shot 17 for 25 from the line.
Richland Center won the JV 1 game 65-29 over Wisconsin Heights.
Following the 70-48 Varsity win, Richland Center will prepare to travel to Lancaster on Thursday. Both teams have started the SWC at 2-0. The Vangards are now 0-8 for the season and they will play tonight at Columbus.
