
Triviathon returns for another year, and it happens New Years Eve!
WRCO’s Triviathon is a popular, long-running New Year’s Eve radio event where teams compete in a six-hour trivia challenge on 100.9 FM and its WRCO.com, featuring local hosts, unique questions, and a fun way for Richland County listeners to ring in the new year while supporting local history, all while getting quizzed on music and general knowledge.
What it Is:
A Classic Local Event: It’s a yearly trivia marathon that’s become a tradition for WRCO listeners in the Richland Center area.
New Year’s Eve Tradition:
It runs from 6 PM to midnight on tomorrow night (Wednesday December 31st), making it a festive, interactive way to celebrate.
Radio and Online:
Teams play along by tuning into WRCO FM 100.9 or streaming online at www.wrco.com.
Team-Based:
Families and friends form teams to compete against each other.
Questions and Answers:
Host Phil Nee reads questions, often with a focus on music and local history, with answers provided later.
Registration: Teams need to register beforehand by calling the station at 608-647-2111.
Community Focus:
It connects listeners and often involves the Richland County Historical Society, blending fun with local heritage. Ken Thiede will once again be a part of the event.
Nostalgia:
It brings back the spirit of 80s trivia craze, with a unique local flavor. In short, it’s a beloved, six-hour trivia battle on WRCO for the whole community to join in on New Year’s Eve.

Adam Hess has been involved in radio broadcasting since 1990, with many of those years spent on the air at WRCO FM in Richland Center.
