RICHLAND CENTER, WIS (WRCO) – Time to get your food on with hank!
Caravan Colony Nachos
(Serves: one hungry human or a small raccoon family)
Ingredients:
- 1 bag of BBQ-flavored potato chips (the crunchier, the better — bonus points if half are broken)
- 1 can of chili, beans and all (don’t bother draining, we’re living on the edge)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or whatever kind of cheese your neighbor didn’t want)
- Optional: pickled jalapeño slices (for showing off)
Instructions:
Grab a fork, or just use your fingers, and dig in while whispering, “This is gourmet, y’all.”
Open the bag of BBQ chips like it’s treasure chest and dump ‘em into a baking pan. Don’t worry if some fall on the floor — that’s seasoning.
Spoon the chili all over the chips like you’re icing a cake for a very messy birthday. Make sure it drips over the edges; that’s extra flavor.
Sprinkle shredded cheese all over like confetti at a trailer park parade. Go wild.
If you’re feeling fancy (or just want everyone to know you’re daring), scatter jalapeños on top like tiny green landmines.
Slide the whole pan under the broiler for 3–5 minutes until the cheese is bubbling like it’s having a party. Watch it carefully unless you want melted cheese lava.
