A Cabbage Patch of 1983 Hits

Saturday night during my Those Were the Days radio show, I will be presenting the Top songs of 1983. It was a good time for pop music with the influence of the MTV playlists, the beginning of hair metal, Michael Jackson, and the crossover appeal of country music among the trends.  Forty years ago, I was the best mobile d.j. in Aubrey Corners (population 12). There were lots of high school dances to play and mix tapes to make. There were air guitar and lip sync contests and lots of great parties to play at the area bars. I never got beat up although my equipment had some near misses. Cabbage Patch Dolls were the hot Christmas item that year and people were getting beaten up for those that year. Find out what the top songs from 1983 were between six and midnight Saturday night.  I will not be taking your requests this Saturday night.
