Grant County man arrested after failed traffic stop, motorcycle clocked at 115 MPH

In Grant County, on Saturday at 7:46 PM, a Grant County Deputy attempted a traffic stop on a motorcycle traveling 115 MPH in a 55 MPH zone on Hwy 18 in the Town of Mount Hope.

The operator, 21-year-old Gabriel Groom, disregarded the stop and fled. Following a short pursuit, Groom was located at his residence in Mount Hope, arrested, and booked into the Grant County Jail for Operator Fleeing and Eluding law enforcement.

He was also cited for reckless driving and driving over 45 miles per hour above the speed limit.
