Former Richland Center resident remains missing, 1 year after disappearance
Jesse Yanske, formerly of Richland Center and Avoca, disappeared one year ago, in Taylor County.
Yanske had moved to the village of Ogema (Oh-gah-ma), Wisconsin two weeks prior to his disappearance, to live with his girlfriend. A family member tells WRCO News, the two had gone out to a nearby bar, and had gotten into an argument on the drive home. Yanske got out of the car to go for a walk, and “cool off”, leaving his phone and wallet in the vehicle.
Multiple people reported seeing Yanske walking along Highway 13 that evening, and a call was made describing someone matching Yanske’s description at the Highway 13 Wayside near Westboro – no one has heard from him since.
Yanske’s sister, Briana Yanske, describes her brother as a “Complete Momma’s Boy”, saying in this case that is a term of affection. Briana does not believe her brother would go more than a few days without contacting their mother.
There is an ongoing police investigation, anyone with information on the whereabouts of Jesse Yanske is encouraged to contact law enforcement immediately.
