K-9 Run/Walk and Kids Fun Run in Vernon County

The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit will host the 14^th Annual 5-K-9 Run/Walk and Kids Fun Run will at the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office in Viroqua, on Saturday, April 18.

The 1⁄4 mile Kids Fun Run for kids 11 and under will begin at 9:00a. Medals, trophies, & ribbons will be awarded. Immediately following the Kids Fun Run, the 5K Run/Walk will begin. All events begin and end at the Sheriff’s Office. There are men’s and women’s age groups for all ages. Medals will be awarded for men and women in each age category.

Anyone interested in participating in the event can find a pre-registration link or registration form on the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit Program Facebook page. Forms are also available at the Sheriff’s Office. By pre-registering before April 8, your entry fee also includes an event t-shirt. Pre-registration fees are $15 for ages 12 to 17 and $25 for anyone 18 and older. Children 11 and under are free. If you wish to make a donation for an event t-shirt, mail or drop off a registration form and fee before April 8 and mark it donation- t-shirt only.

If you register after April 8^th or the day of the event the fee will be $20 for ages 12 to 17 and $30 for anyone 18 and older. Children 11 and under are still free. No t-shirts will be available for registrations received after April 8^th. Registration the day of the event will be from 7:30A to 8:45A.

All proceeds will benefit the Vernon County K9 Unit- K9 Kota and K9 Dax- for annual maintenance, training, & equipment costs.
