
Hornet Varsity and JV victorious over PDC in Boys SWC Basketball
The Richland Center boys basketball improved to 2-0 in the Southwest Wisconsin Conference with last nights 64-45 win over Prairie du Chien.
The Hornets started strong and never trailed in the game as they vaulted to a lead at halftime of 40-14. Several players got the chance to shine in the home game with Senior Brady Dosch leading the scoring with 20 points, and Senior Liam Fingerson added 13. Junior Jayden Schoepp had 12 points, and Junior Kyzan Schwichtenberg was the 4th player in double digits with 10. Will Weiss had 3 points, while Abe Bosworth, Cutler Palmer, and Connor Stoltz all had 2 points. Schoepp and Dosch each made two three pointers and the Hornets were 8 for 12 from the line.
Prairie du Chien fell to 0-7 on the season with the loss. They were led by Sam Kramer with 14, and Steve Duha with 10 points. Kramer made two threes and the team shot 8 for 15 from the line.
Richland Center also won the JV 1 game by a score of 44-36 over the Blackhawks.
Following the 64-45 win, Richland Center is now 3-4 overall. They will play the 4th game of the holiday break on Saturday night when the team travels to Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee to play Baraboo. The Blackhawks will host Black River Falls on Friday night.
