
With the win, RC Volleyball advances to the regional title match
RICHLAND CENTER. Wis. (WRCO / WRCE) – The Richland Center Hornet volleyball team passed the first test of the WIAA tournament with an impressive three-set sweep over visiting Westby on Thursday night.
The scores were 25-22, 25-19, and 25-19. The Hornets improved to 24-14 on the season, and they will play at Onalaska Luther on Saturday, Oct. 25 in the regional final.
Senior Danica Pauls had 10 kills and three aces, Ellavy Weiss added four blocks, and freshman Adelyn Wertz had four kills in the third and final set for Richland Center.
Westby saw its season end at 19-15. Kelsey Nedland and Haidyn Thurin led with five kills each. Six seniors played in their final match for the Norse and coach Arena Kvamme.
With the win, the Richland Center volleyball team has advanced to the Regional title match at 7 p.m. Saturday.
