
RICHLAND CENTER, Wis. (WRCO / WRCE) – The Richland Center boys soccer team picked up a 5-2 win over Aquinas in the first round of the WIAA tournament.
The Hornets, seeded sixth in the regional, pulled off the win in La Crosse over the third seed Blugolds.
Lucan Duran scored the first two goals, while Connor Stoltz hit the team’s third score. Yovani Serna and Shawn Adams added goals in the big win for the Hornets.
Richland Center advances to the Regional championship game on Saturday against Amherst, which won a semifinal game 8-0 over Pacelli/Iola-Scandinavia on Thursday.
