MUSCODA, Wis (WRCO / WRCE) – Boscobel claimed an 8-7 win over Riverdale in Southern Wisconsin Activities League (SWAL) baseball Tuesday night.

It was the second night in a row the Bulldogs won by an 8-7 score; their Monday night contest against the Chieftains ended in similar fashion. Riverdale trailed 4-0 before a five-run third inning. The Bulldogs tied the game at five before Riverdale jumped ahead 7-5. A three-run sixth inning gave the visitors enough for the win.

Cameron Loos was three for five and Briar Wayne had two hits and scored three runs for Boscobel. Tyler Miller was two for four with an RBI. Gunner Wayne doubled among the Bulldogs 12 hits. Gage Wayne pitched over five innings to get the win, while Briar Wayne finished the game in relief.

Ethan Kagel and Henry Drone both doubled among Riverdales seven hits. Kagel pitched five innings and struck out 11. Henry Drone finished the game for the Chieftains.

Following the 8-7 win, Boscobel is now 4-5 in the conference and 9-7 overall. Riverdale fell to 4-6 in the league and 7-9 overall.

In game two at Pickering Park on Tuesday, Riverdale hosted Weston in a non-conference game. The Silver Eagles came from behind to win 5-4. Garrett Granger, Isaac Jennings, and Brady Westphal all had two hits; Blake Bingham and Garrett Jennings each had hits and scored a run; Gavin Kast had a hit and an RBI, and Ryan Greenwood knocked in two runs. Trevor Westphal, Hunter Coy, and Isaac Jennings combined for the pitching win.

Riverdale was led by Henry Drone, who went three for four at the plate.

Weston will travel to Ithaca for another Ridge and Valley conference showdown on Thursday. Riverdale will play at Fennimore on Friday.
