Ithaca boys drop conference game to North Crawford

North Crawford was a winner at Ithaca on Tuesday night in area boys basketball.  The Trojans  improved to 7-0 in the Ridge and Valley Conference and 13-1 overall with a 80-61 win over the Bulldogs.  It was the 2nd time the two teams have met during the season.  The first game went to overtime. Last night it was all North Crawford as they made 9 of their 12 three point baskets in the first half.  Ithaca chipped away at the deficit, however, each time North Crawford would go on another run and they eventually won the game by 19 points.

Five Trojan players scored in double figures.  They were led by Cullen Jacobus who netted 23, Landon Blaha added 14, Carter Emler scored 13, Andrew Munson totaled 12, and Zach Bender had 11 points. The team was 11 for 15 from the line.  

Ithaca was led by Devin Ihm with 18, Sammy Clary scored 13, Cody Byrnes totaled 11,Wesley Nelson put in 8, Casey Pomering totaled 7, Ethan Birkrem and Xander Sorenson each had 2 points.  The Bulldogs hit 8 three pointers and were 5 for 7 from the line.

North Crawford won the jv game 60-32 over Ithaca.

Following the 80-61 win, North Crawford will prepare for a conference game Friday night against Seneca.  Ithaca is now 5-3 in the league, and 11-5 overall.  They will host Weston on Friday.
