A trail of damage was left across southern Wisconsin. Severe Saturday night storms and tornadoes rumbled from southwestern to southeastern Wisconsin. At least six tornadoes hit southern Wisconsin over the weekend. Saturday night, that huge storm system moved across the state. The strongest was in Rock County, in the Footville and Janesville area. That was an EF-2. Four EF-1 tornadoes touched down in Marshall, Watertown, and Lake Geneva… and an EF-0 hit Grant County. However investigators from the National Weather Service will be in Argyle today… because they had a suspected tornado there. So that number may rise throughout the day. The likely tornado destroyed the historic Apple Grove Lutheran Church in the Lafayette County Village of Argyle. That church building was 139 years old. And now it’s now just a pile of rubble. But the congregation wasn’t going to let that stop them… They showed up for Sunday services anyway… even though now the scene is just debris scattered across a field.
