The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is bidding a paw-some farewell to one of its finest officers, K9 partner Rambo. After eight years of dedicated service, sniffing out the bad guys and keeping our community safe with his handler, Lieutenant Mike Czys, Rambo is ready to trade in the badge for a cozy spot on the couch.
From taking countless numbers of illegal drugs off the streets, to countless belly rubs, Rambo has been a true hero on four legs. But all good things must come to an end, and it’s time for the department’s furry friend to enjoy a well-deserved retirement with his handler, Lieutenant Czys.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Department would like to thank the numerous donors and supporters of the K9 Unit. Without you, these incredible animals would not be possible.
K9 Officer partner, Aron, remains on the job with his handler, Sergeant Chris Schildgen.
