Best Classic Rock Countdown Ever

This Saturday night we will feature a classic rock countdown that was voted on by the readers of Kent Kotal’s Forgotten Hits website some years ago for a chart of the most essential rock songs of all time. It will be a night of rocker after rocker. There are some surprises, however, many of the songs that will hit the airwaves on Those Were the Days will be the tried-and-true tunes that you have often requested. Queen, Boston, Rolling Stones, Eagles, and many more will play during our six-hour music tribute. It is my hope that you will tune in on FM 100.9, WRCO.com, or on the Civic Media app.

We will not be taking your requests this Saturday night. My son, James, is getting married that day. The family might not appreciate it if I skip the wedding to do the radio show. Some suggested that we should just do Those Were the Days live from the wedding dance. With it being a younger crowd, I think that dear old dad might be tolerated for a few tunes but could be booed off the floor for playing to many old ones. This will be a special day for our families, and it is one of many events that I am so grateful to be a part of. Best wishes to James and Haley on their wedding day. It is a proud dear old dad moment. I love them even though they may not dance to my music. I will miss all of you loyal readers of this blog and regular contributors to the show.
