There have been many songs about books and magazines and Saturday night on Those Were The Days I will be spinning a few. Favorites include: Book Of Love-Monotones, My Little Red Book-Love, Everyday I Write the Book-Elvis Costello, Cover Of The Rolling Stone-Dr. Hook, Centerfold-J.Geils Band, Picture Book-Kinks, You Can't Judge a Book By Looking At the Cover-Bo Diddley, and Paperback Writer-The Beatles. We will be going to the library of rock and roll and hitting the books songs between six and midnight Saturday night during Those Were the Days.
It will be great to be back in the saddle for live requests and trivia during Saturday nights' show on FM 100.9 and wrco.com. Last week I took some family time and spent a fun evening teasing the grand babies and playing board games with my three children. It is rare that we are all together and I am so thankful that the kids are willing to spend time with their boring old dad. We were listening to Those Were the Days. They actually liked most of the music! I turned another year older this week and I will try not to act my age during Saturday nights' Those Were the Days radio show.
