Spring Back To 1961

Hey rock n' rollers!  This Saturday night on WRCO FM 100.9 and dot com we will welcome spring with a few classic tunes.  There are many that talk about the season and still others that were popular in the the spring time.  We will also check out the hot 45's from this weekend in 1961.  That was an innocent time for popular music.  Some of my favorites from this weekend in '61 include:  Runaway-Del Shannon,  Shop Around-Miracles,  Pony Time-Chubby Checker,  Walk Right Back-Everly Brothers,  Calender Girl-Neil Sedaka,  More Than I Can Say-Bobby Vee,  One Hundred Pounds Of Clay-Gene McDaniels,  and (I Wanna) Love My Life Away-Gene Pitney.   Even though these songs are sixty years old,  they still sound so good on the radio.  There is so much energy in the grooves of those little records.
