This Saturday night June 1st I will be playing some of my favorite Paul McCartney songs during Those Were The Days on WRCO FM 100.9. Thursday night June 6th I will be in the same room as a former Beatle! It is a big room called the Kohl Center, but it will still be cool. This will be the 2nd time that I have witnessed Sir Paul in person. The first time was back in 1993 at County Stadium in Milwaukee. Those Were The Days will be the place for the pregame show for the two McCartney concerts during his 2019 tour (the other is at historic Lambeau Field). We will get you fired up to see the show, or make you wish that you were going! I grew up listening to the Beatles and have liked many of Paul's solo records. He has been playing few surprises during the early stages of this years tour. Some of the songs that I wish he would play include: Getting Closer, Coming Up, Ballroom Dancing, I've Had Enough, My Brave Face, Helen Wheels, With A Little Luck, and Daytime Nighttime Suffering. A few of our listeners have told there stories about seeing the Beatles in Milwaukee on September 4th of 1964 (which was the groups only Wisconsin appearance). One of our friends even brought that original program to the radio station proving that she was actually there. Whoever put together the program had two names swapped and listed George under John's picture and John under George's photo. It most likely made that program even more collectable. This Saturday night you will be able to request your favorite McCartney song or Beatles tune. I will be in the studio taking your requests and playing trivia. You can request any pop song you would like from the fifties through the eighties. The party will start on FM 100.9 this Saturday night at 6 pm.
