Richland School Board welcomed new member
Board Clerk, Sheila Troxel, gave the oath of office to new member Jill Sharp who filled the board vacancy following the resignation of Robin Dickman.
RICHLAND CENTER, Wis (WRCO / WRCE) – The Richland School Board gained a new member while losing another member at Tuesday’s special board meeting.
Board Clerk Sheila Troxel gave the oath of office to new member Jill Sharp, who filled the board vacancy following the resignation of Robin Dickman. The board also accepted the verbal resignation of board member Lee Van Landuyt.
On Wednesday, May 14, Van Landuyt verbally resigned from the Richland School Board of Education. This verbal statement was made twice in the presence of District Administrator Steve Board, as well as fellow board members Erin Unbehaun and Scott Behling. However, State Statutes provides that a school board vacancy is effective when given “by a school officer, to the district board.” As such, the resignation is effective when presented to the board.
The board also approved a change order for work at the primary school for an amount not to exceed $29,695. It also facilitated the hiring of Shae Klicko as a social studies teacher for the 2025-26 school year.
