Friday, March 21
Holy Cross “St. Barnabas Parish” in Mazomanie will hold a rummage sale Friday, March 21, from 8:00 to 5:00, and Saturday, March 22, from 8:00 to noon.
Join the University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension Agriculture Educators for a comprehensive session on internal parasites. The event provides an in-depth look at: Parasite Life Cycles, Management Strategies, Fecal Egg Counts, and Hands-On Experience. The program will be held Friday, March 21, from 1:00 to 4:00 at the Hildebrand Memorial Library in Boscobel. Silent Trivia will be held Friday, March 21, at 6:30 at the Richland Center High School. The cost is $10 per team with a maximum of ten team members. There will also be raffles, door prizes, and a bake sale. All proceeds will benefit the Richland Center High School Wrestling Program.
The Farmer Angel Network has announced a special book club series featuring the new book, “Land Rich, Cash Poor: My Family’s Hope and the Untold Story of the Disappearing American Farmer,” by award-winning journalist Brian Reisinger. The series will include three sessions, each held on consecutive Mondays from 6:00 to 7:30, at the Sauk Prairie Healthcare Hospital and virtually. March 24 will focus on the challenges of family farming. March 31 will focus on the future of family farming; and April 7 with feature a Q&A with author Brian Reisinger with his parents, Jim and Jean Reisinger, who are Sauk County family farmers. Get ready to soar to Neverland! The Kickapoo Area Schools Drama Club will present Peter Pan Friday and Saturday, March 21 & 22, at 7:00 in the Kickapoo High School Auditorium. Cost of admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students and seniors, and free for children five and under.
Saturday, March 22
The Layton-Brown Memorial Scholarship Corn-hole Tournament will be held Saturday, March 22, at Wisconsin Riverside Resort. Registration will open at 10:00, and the bags start flying at 11:00. The entry fee is $20 per team. If you don’t have a partner, let them know, and they will help pair you up. Pre-registration is recommended, call or text Nicole at 412-5788 or Bill at 588-5156. Proceeds will benefit the Layton-Brown Memorial Scholarship, awarded to River Valley High School graduates pursuing Vocational or Technical College education.
Santa Teresa – Richland Center Sister City Annual Meeting, Slide Show, and Potluck Supper will be held Saturday, March 22, starting at 4:00 at the Richland Center Community Center. Please bring a dish to pass to the 5:30 supper. Beverages and tableware will be provided. Music and dancing will follow.
Sunday, March 23
The Riverdale Communities Education Foundation will host an 8-pin bowling tournament Sunday, March 23, at Boscobel Bowl & Banquet. Two shifts will be held, 11:00 and 1:30. Cost to bowl is $15. To register call Greg Kinney at 608-537-2359 or Boscobel Bowl & Banquet at 608-375-2200. There will also be raffles and a silent auction.
Rehearsals will be held for the Muscoda Community Band Sunday, March 23, and 30, and April 6 at 1:00 in the Riverdale High School Band Room. The concert will be held Sunday, April 13, at 1:00 in the Riverdale High School Gym.
The RMC Irish Dancers will host a St. Patrick’s Day Celebration Sunday, March 23, at the Richland Center United Methodist Church. Tea and biscuits will be served at 3:45, with a traditional Irish dance show beginning at 4:00.
