Friday, February 14

The Richland Center Class of ‘68 is having a bake sale on Friday, February 14 at the Richland County Bank from 9:00 AM until sold out. Come and buy a treat for your valentine! There will be homemade Scandinavian Almond Bread, mini cheesecakes, cinnamon rolls, candies, cookies, bars and brownies. The proceeds go toward scholarships and community projects.

A Red Cross blood drive will be held Friday, February 14, from 9:30 to 1:30 at the Wonewoc Public Library. To book a time to give, use the Red Cross Blood Donor App, visit RedCrossBlood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).

Discovery Day will be held Saturday, February 22, at the Richland Center Intermediate School. The event is sponsored by Richland County 4-H. Youth in 5K through 8th grade can select from 24 workshops including: Blast off with Rockets; Be a Wildlife Detective; First Aid Heroes; Legos; Sew It, Store It; Game on: Pickleball; Yo-Yo Skillz; Do You Want to be a Veterinarian; Plant Power; Decoding Horse Behavior; Shades of Nature–Charcoal Drawing and much more. Saturday, February 15

The Kickapoo Area Food Pantry will be open on Saturday February 15 from 9:00 until 11:00 and Monday February 17 from 4:00 until 6:00. Sign in at the Viola Municipal Building at 106 W. Wisconsin Street and volunteers will load your vehicle. For more information, call 608-627-1910

The Little Lamb’s Closet, held at Park Street Christian Church, sponsored by the Richland County Right to Life, is open the third Saturday of the month starting at 9:30. Please use the Park Street entrance.

Free milk and cheese is available the third Saturday of each month from 9:30 until gone at Park Street Christian Church. Use the Seminary Street entrance.

Sunday, February 16

The River Valley FFA will host a Pancake Breakfast Sunday, February 16, from 8:00 to Noon at the Plain American Legion. Cost is $8 for adults, $5 for children 5 to 10, and free for those four and under.

The Ithaca Lions Annual 8 Pin Tap will be held Sunday, February 16 at the Phoenix Center in Richland Center. Shift will be held at 11:00 and at 2:00. Entry fee is $15. There will also be a raffle and door prizes. All ages are welcome. Advance sign-up available by calling the Phoenix Center at 608-649-7469.

There will be a Sunday Funday Dance on Sunday, February 16, from 1:00 to 4:00, at the Richland Center Community Center. There will be live music at the event. Dances include reels, mixers, square dances, contras and waltzes. All dances are called and taught. No experience, or partner, necessary. No cover charge to attend, a free will offering will be accepted. Light refreshments, provided by Boaz 4-H Club, will be available to purchase. All are welcome.

The Richland Concert Association will host the piano duo of Varshavski & Shapiro Sunday, February 16, at 2:00 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Richland Center. Tickets are $15 for adults and free for students.
