RACINE COUNTY, Wis (WRJN) – Racine County residents are reminded to cast their votes in a special election on Thursday, December 19, to elect the county’s next County Executive. The election follows the passing of former County Executive Jonathan Delagrave in June 2024.
In the November primary, local businessman Ralph Malicki was the top candidate. Finishing second and also moving to the special election is Racine County Clerk Wendy Christensen. About 11,000 votes were cast in November. Malicki got over 51% of votes. Christensen narrowly edged out Melvin Hargrove and Lorenzo Santos.
People are advised to confirm their polling locations, as they may have changed since the elections on November 5 and November 21. Voters can verify their polling place by contacting their municipal clerk’s office or visiting MyVote.WI.gov.
Polls are open Thursday from 7am to 8pm. Remember to bring an ID.
