WISCONSIN (WLCX) – Gundersen Health System and Bellin Health announced Tuesday they will rename and become Emplify Health.
The rebranding will take place over the next several months at hospitals, clinics, and other locations within the company.
In a release, Emplify Health said it wouldn’t change any of its on-site practices, such as patient care, with the name change.
Gundersen and Bellin began their merger in 2022. The combined companies have 11 hospitals and over 100 clinics across Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, and Michigan.
Most of the Gundersen locations are in southwestern Wisconsin, southeastern Minnesota and northeastern Iowa. Bellin’s locations are in northeastern Wisconsin and part of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
The meaning of the new name is a portmanteau of “empathy” and “amplify,” according to Scott Rathgaber, the CEO of Bellin and Gundersen Health System.
“Today, we are embracing the journey to something new, strong and shared,” Rathgaber said. “By unifying under one brand, we align our teams and our resources to provide the best possible care and experience for our patients and community.”
