The Mobile Food Pantry is coming to Ithaca High School. The Second Harvest Foodbank, the Ithaca Lions Club, and the Buena Vista Lions Club have partnered together to bring the mobile food pantry to Ithaca. The Drive-Thru Mobile Food Pantry will be held the third Thursday of each month beginning at 4:00. Due to school activities and traffic at that time, Mobile Pantry guests are not permitted to park near or on school property before 3:30. Park in line until directed to proceed. There are no restrictions, everyone in need is welcome, no matter where you live. No ID or proof of income is required.
Walk with GRACE planning committee meetings will be held on the third Thursday of each month at 6:00 at the GRACE Office above Royal Bank in downtown Richland Center. Team captains or representatives are always welcome.
Shake Rag Alley will welcome A.M. Goodhart & Nick Gulig at its Winter Writers Reading Series on Thursday, March 19, at 6:00 at Republic of Letters Books in Mineral Point. Goodhart is a Madison based writer and textile artist, and was awarded the Wisconsin Writers Loriene Niedecker Poetry Award. Gulig is a poet from Wisconsin, and was awarded the Wisconsin Writers Edna Meudt Poetry Book Award.

The ADRC of Grant County will offer a Medicare 101 educational presentation Friday afternoon, March 20, at 1:30 at the Grant County Community Services Building in Lancaster. The presentation will provide an overview of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D, along with important enrollment timelines and coverage choices. It is designed for individuals approaching age 65, those already enrolled in Medicare who want to learn more about their coverage, or anyone assisting a family member with Medicare decisions. Introduction to Permaculture Design will be held Saturday, March 21, from 8:30 to Noon at the Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center in Spring Green. Permaculture is a design process that uses ecological principles to create healthy and resilient food systems and communities. In this interactive workshop, you will learn about permaculture basics, what are ecological and permaculture principles, and how these principles are applied to garden design. The St. John’s and CUREsaders Walk with GRACE teams will host a Spring Vendor fair Saturday, March 21, from 9:00 to 2:00 at the Richland Center Community Center. The sale will offer quality handcrafted items, spring decor, cute Easter Basket fillers, delicious fresh baked breads, cookies, candies, bars, pie, and so much more. There will also be a bucket raffle and lunch available.

The Ithaca Lions Club will host a pancake breakfast to benefit Emmett Miller on Sunday, March 22, at the Ithaca High School Commons. Breakfast will be served from 7:00 to 12:30. Clyde Community Center Chili & Chicken Noodle Dinner Fundraiser will be held Sunday, March 22, from 11:00 to 2:00. All you can eat carry outs available. Registration is now open for garden plots at the River Valley Area Community Gardens for the 2026 season. 10’ x 10’ plots rent for $20/season, 10’ x 20’ plots are $40/season and 20’ x 20’ plots are $60/season. The fee includes straw mulch, use of the rototiller and other tools, manure/compost, organic fertilizer, water to each plot section and hoses, and friendly, experienced gardeners who are always ready to offer advice or a hand. The Driftless Area Art Festival in Soldiers Grove is accepting artist applications for its 22nd annual festival, scheduled for September 19 and 20. The Ithaca Lions Club has announced, that after much consideration it will not be holding a consignment auction this year. Rising costs, limited available space, and the increasing physical demands of organizing the event have made it difficult for members to continue hosting it. Club members are currently unsure whether the auction will return in future years.

The Vernon County Health Department offers “Wellness Screenings” the second Thursday of the month from 7:30 to 10:30. The screening includes cholesterol and blood sugar levels, as well as an assessment of blood pressure and discussion of risk factors for heart disease. A $10 donation is requested, but not required. Agrace will offer a Spouse/Partner Loss Support Group, a professionally led grief support group for adults who are grieving the death of a spouse or partner. The group is most appropriate for participants after it has been two months since the death occurred and meets for six consecutive weeks. The group will meet virtually on Thursdays, April 9 to May 14, from 5:30 to 7:00 and Mondays, April 13 to May 18, from 3:30 to 5:00. There is no fee for these groups if a participant’s family member received hospice care from Agrace within the past 12 months; fees for others can be lowered or waived, if needed. Savor the River Valley will host its fourth Annual Earth Day Farm & Food Tour on Saturday, April 25, from 10:00 to 4:00. This is a free, family-friendly, self-guided, behind-the-scenes tour through 11 farms and food processors in the Driftless area. The tour allows people to meet folks producing food in ways that protect the soil, water, air and communities. Participants will be able to take a wagon ride, visit baby animals, see cheese being made and grain being milled; learn about regenerative farming, raising pastured meats and agro-forestry.; explore an orchard; visit a kitchen garden; participate in perennial crop research; purchase plants to grow at home; and eat many delicious treats such as ice cream, truffles, smash burgers and wood-fire pizza. Spend a weekend photographing Taliesin – Frank Lloyd Wright’s 800-acre estate in Spring Green at a workshop with photographer Andrew Pielage. Learn to look critically at composition, engage in peer photo critiques, and learn about the powerful editing software Adobe Lightroom that will take your photos to the next level. The workshop will be held Friday through Sunday, August 7-9. The program is for those 18 and older. The cost is $1,800 per person plus 6% service fee. An immersive workshop Friday through Sunday, October 2-4, will offer a glimpse into daily life as an apprentice at Taliesin, gather for afternoon tea in the historic Tea Circle, dine in the Hillside Dining Room, and enjoy entertainment in Hillside Theater.
