Pool Ad Hoc May 2nd Meeting

The Pool Ad Hoc Committee met Wednesday, May 2nd to go over an updated plan for the new aquatic center at Krouskop Park in Richland Center with Architectural Design Consultants, Inc. out of Lake Delton.

According to parks commission member, Pat Elliott, ADCI presented an alternate plan from previous plans which combines all the pools together into one water surface area and cutting the deck surface, relocating the zero depth entry, and having one slide. The current plan comes in at a cost of $4.7 million which includes $400,000 in contingency expenditures.

The committee is very pleased with the plan for the pool, however, Elliott pointed out that ADCI has been asked to come back next week with a new plan for the bathhouse to cut down expenses which will bring down the cost even more from the originally budgeted $4.8 million. This should be the final plan which will be presented to the Richland Center City Council at its' next meeting on May 15th.

The Richland Center Pool Ad Hoc Committee will meet next Wednesday, May 9th at 6:00 PM in the meeting room at the Community Center. All interested persons are invited to attend.
