Wednesday, June 20

Soul Kitchen will serve a free community meal on Wednesday, June 20th at 5:30 PM at the Nazarene Outreach Center.

Greenway volunteers will host an ice cream social on Wednesday, June 20th from 6:00-8:00 PM. The event will take place on on the Greenway Manor front lawn in Spring Green. Music will be provided by the Solstice Jazz Band. In case of rain the social will be held inside.

The Ithaca Lions will meet on Wednesday, June 20th at 7:00 PM at the Village Pump.

Thursday, June 21

The Brewer Public Library will hold two crafting programs on Thursday, June 21st. Kids Create: All Day Arts and Crafts will run from 9:00-8:00 and Martha’s Monthly Makers, a crafting program for adults will be held at 2:00 PM. 

Second Harvest Mobile Food Pantry will be at Richland Center Fellowship on Thursday, June 21st. The distribution will begin at 3:30 PM and run until 5:00 PM. Participants are asked to please not arrive prior to 3:00 PM for the distribution. Participants should note that baskets or other items to mark a spot in line are NOT allowed. Those in line by 4:00 PM will be guaranteed a full share.

American Legion Post 335 Auxiliary of Avoca will serve burgers in the park on Thursday, June 21st from 4:00-7:00 PM. Cost for a meal is $7 and $4 for a burger or cheeseburger alone.

American Legion Post 13 will hold a meeting on Thursday, June 21st at the Richland Center American Legion. A meal will be served at 6:30 PM with the meeting to follow at 7:30 PM. The meeting will include the swearing in of new officers. All members are encouraged to attend.

Friday, June 22

Cardinal IG will sponsor an E-Waste Collection event on Friday, June 22nd from 7:00-3:00 at 1201 E. Madison Street, Spring Green. Accepted items include televisions, stereos, cell phones, computers, monitors, all large and small home appliances including microwaves, refrigerators, freezers and other electronic devices. There will be a two television limit. Additional televisions will come at a cost of $10 per television. Those dropping off items are asked to bring a non-perishable food item or personal hygiene product to go to the local food pantry.

Chapter 7 Wisconsin Vietnam Vets, Chapter 32 Disabled American Vets, and Chapter 770 Military Order of the Purple Heart will hold a brat fry Friday, June 22nd and Saturday, June 23rd at Greeley Signs from 10:00-2:00 both days. Proceeds from the event will go toward purchasing signs declaring Richland Center as the first Purple Heart city in the nation.

The Brewer Public Library will hold Everybody Storytime on Friday, June 22nd at 10:30 AM. Storytime welcomes parents of babies and older children for a half-hour of stories, songs, activities, and a chance to learn early reading skills.

The 4th annual Gospel to Haiti benefit auction will be held on Friday, June 22nd and Saturday, June 23rd. The benefit will be located at the tractor lot across from the Clary Memorial Funeral Home on Highway 14 East. There will also be a catfish fry on Friday from 4:00-8:00 PM. There will be music at 6:00 PM and a small item auction at 7:00 PM. Saturday's auction will start at 9:00 AM. All proceeds from the event will go to support the clinic and schools in Haiti. For more information or to make a donation call 415-3474. 

Registration is now open for Gundersen Medical Foundation's 13th annual Steppin' Out in Pink on Saturday, September 8th at 8:45 AM at Gundersen's La Crosse Campus Walking Trail. Those who sign up before June 30th will pay $15 and also receive a 2018 Steppin' Out in Pink t-shirt. Pre-register by visiting steppinoutinpink.org. Saturday, June 23

The 3rd annual fundraiser for Multiple Sclerosis will take place on Saturday, June 23rd at Quail Run Golf Links. Tee times are scheduled for 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM. There will be four person teams and the cost to golf is $40 per person. There will also be a putting contest, raffles, silent auction, bake sale and a hole in one contest. The Richland Hospital Foundation will host Taste of the Hills at Krouskop Park on Saturday, June 23rd from 4:00-9:00 PM. Admission to the event is free. There will be food tickets available for purchase. Live music will be provided by Leahys Luck from 4:30-8:30 PM.

Grace Life Church of Richland Center will hold a picnic on Saturday, June 23rd from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Charles Lawrence Shelter in Krouskop Park by the tennis courts. The free supper will be served at 5:00 PM. There will also be games and a bounce house. Everyone is invited to attend.

Sunday, June 24

The 38th annual Hillsboro Lions Appreciation Dairy Breakfast will take place on Sunday, June 24th from 7:00-11:30 AM at Hillsboro Firemen's Park. A donation of $6 for adults and $3 for children 10 and under is suggested. Those attending are asked to bring a 16 or 18 oz plastic jar of peanut butter for the Feeding our Cubs program. Other activities include tractor pulls, folk dancers, the Little German Band and more. Miss Wisconsin will also be in attendance.

Knights of Columbus #8946 will present the Cazenovia Area Dairy Breakfast on Sunday, June 24th from 7:00-12:00 at St. Anthony's School near Cazenovia. Cost for adults is $7, kids age 6-12 are $3.50 and children 5 and under are free.

The Ithaca High School Future Business Leaders of America will hold a pie sale at Center Cafe on Sunday, June 24th 8:00 AM until sold out. All proceeds will go to the Ithaca High Schools Future Business Leaders of America in support of the students attending the National Leadership Conference/Competition in Baltimore this summer.

Pine Valley Foundation will hold a picnic fundraiser on Sunday, June 24th at Pine Valley Community Village from 11:30-1:30. Cost for a meal is $10 and $3 for kids. Carry-outs will be available. Music will be provided by the Jim Gorman Band. There will also be a silent auction and raffles.

Monday, June 25

The Richland Hospital will offer free blood pressure checks on Monday, June 25th from 12:00-4:00 PM at the hospital.

Second Harvest Mobile Food Pantry will hold a distribution in Highland on Monday, June 25th at Ss. Anthony and Philip Catholic Church at 4:00 PM.

Richland FIT will hold a coalition gathering on Monday, June 25th at 5:00 PM. The meeting will start at the Mill Pond Community Garden. Those attending will also visit the Class of 1968 picnic shelter. RSVP for the meeting by visiting Richland FIT's Facebook page.

The Brewer Public Library will hold a Checkers Tournament on Monday, June 25th and Tuesday, June 26th at the library. Monday's tournament will start at 6:00 PM and Tuesday at 10:00 AM. The tournament is for youth 18 and under. Winners in each age division will receive a $10 prize.

Christ Countryside Ministries will hold its Fearfully and Wonderfully Made STEM Camp Monday, July 9th through Friday, July 13th from 6:00-7:30 PM each evening at the Kilian Meyer Building next to the Richland Center Community Center. The camp will include activities for children to help develop problem solving skills while also exploring faith. Space is limited to 50 kids. To sign up call Daniel at 608-727-4271.

Tuesday, June 26

The Thrift Shop in Richland Center will hold a board meeting on Tuesday, June 26th at 2:00 PM at the shop.

SSM Health at Home will hold a grief support day camp starting on July 14th from 10:00-3:00 at Krouskop Park. The camp is for children age 6 to 14. To register or for more information call 1-877-356-4514.

Wednesday, June 27

Second Harvest Mobile Food Pantry will hold a distribution on Wednesday, June 26th in Crawford County at the Gays Mills Community Center at 2:00 PM.

The Muscoda American Legion will serve Burgers in the Park on Wednesday, June 27th at Railroad Park in Muscoda from 4:00-9:00 PM.

Peace and Trinity United Methodist Church will hold an ice cream social on Wednesday, June 27th from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Trinity United Methodist Church in the Schmitt Fellowship Hall.

Thursday, June 28

The Brewer Public Library will hold Kids Create: All Day Arts and Crafts on Thursday, June 28th from 9:00-8:00. Families are invited to create projects to take home.

A special information session on becoming a host family for an international student will be held on Thursday, June 28th at 5:00 PM in Melvill Hall on the UW-Richland Campus. UW-Richland International Student Coordinator, Jessica Vodvarka, and Richland Center High School Foreign Exchange Director, Kathy Fry, will present information about being a host family, being a friendship family, exchange organizations, and students awaiting placement for the 2018-19 school year. Everyone is welcome to attend. 

Friday, June 29

The Passages on the Pine fundraiser will be held on Friday, July 27th from 4:00-7:00 PM. There will be kayak, canoes and tubes available to rent as well as food and games available at the park. There will also be a raffle for a kayak. You don't need to be present to win. Tickets are 1 for $5 or 5 for $20. For more information call Passages at 647-8775.

Saturday, June 30

The Helping Hannah Benefit Ride will be held on Saturday, June 30th at BD's Eagles Nest in Fennimore. The event will include a scenic motorcycle ride, silent auction, raffles, a live auction and more. Registration for the ride will start at 10:30-11:45 AM. Cost per rider is $10. Money raised will go toward helping pay for medical expenses as Hannah Rosemeyer continues her battle with cancer.

Sunday, July 1

The Old Franklin Township Historical Society will host an open house at the museum on Sunday, July 1st from 1:00-3:00 PM. The open house events will be held every first and third Sunday of the month through September. Two local artists art work, from Plain, will be on display and there will also be a clothing display from the early 1800's. The museum is located at 915 Wachter Ave., Plain.

Tuesday, July 3

Lone Rock will hold its 4th of July celebration on Tuesday, July 3rd and Wednesday, July 4th. Events include a volleyball tournament, Rock County Garden Pullers, music, softball tournament, a 5K Water Run/Walk and more. A fireworks display will take place Wednesday evening.

Monday, July 16

Child Evangelism Fellowship will be hold a five day summer bible club from Monday, July 16th through Friday, July 20th at the Anderson Shelter in Krouskop Park from 2:00-3:30 PM each day. Children attending the club will take part in bible lessons, sing songs, play games, hear a missionary story, and enjoy a snack. The club is free and open to children age 5-12. Tuesday, July 24

Lone Rock Community Library will hold a Space Rocks event on Tuesday, July 24th at 6:00 PM at the Lone Rock Community Hall. Astronomy educator John Heasley will be the guest speaker. John will provide information on meteorites that fall to Earth. There will be samples brought back from the Moon by the Apollo astronauts almost 50 years ago. Saturday, July 28

The Missfit Dolls will hold a karaoke night at D&D Pub in Yuba on Saturday, July 28th from 8:00-12:00 AM.  Cost to sing is $1 and $5 to have one of the Missfit Dolls sing a song. There will be raffles, merchandise and more.
