Feeding America RC Style 2012 Campaign Will Bring Pies to WRCO!

The 2012 “Feeding America RC Style” food drive challenge is underway with area corporates once again coming together to eliminate hunger. The drive was started in 2010 by Richland Rejuvenates, a local nonprofit, who partnered with many of the area’s top employers. Richland Rejuvenates partners in this year’s effort include, Rockwell Automation, Richland Center Foundry, S& S Cycle of Viola, Richland Hospital and Richland Medical Center, Miniature Precision Components(MPC), Schreiber Foods and the Capital Wealth Advisory Group.

This year, WRCO will also become a partner in hosting the first Feeding America RC Style live radio pie auction featuring the specialties of local bakers for a fun and competitive time as the group tries to raise food money and awareness of those who are in a place of not having enough food. Each corporate entity will have an opportunity to send their own team who will sample a pie and then try to describe it to the WRCO listening audience and try to raise the most money for the identical pie being sold. It promises to add an exciting dimension to the competitive opportunity to raise desperately needed funds for this local need.

The pie auctions will be broadcast selected days November 20 through the end of the month between 10:00 and 11:00 AM. We hope you'll join us in a fun event for a good cause.
