Richland Center Kiwanis Club Coats Coats for Kids 2017

The Richland Center Kiwanis Club 7th annual “Coats for Kids” Community Coat Drive is now underway.

Each year, the effort has grown. Last year, nearly 200 coats were distributed, all just in time for the cold winter season. The Kiwanis Club has worked with a number of partners to grow this project the last several years. This year, the club will again partner with Wallace, Cooper & Elliott Insurance and the Church of the Nazarene for an effort that will lead up to a coats distribution night.

The Nazarene Church Outreach Center will again serve as the site of this year’s coats distribution. The distribution on Thursday, November 2nd, is the only night that coats will be handed out. Families wishing to receive coats for their children are encouraged to make note of the date and distribution time, Thursday, November 2nd, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Nazarene Church Outreach Center.

Sheila Troxel and Deb Fontana of Wallace, Cooper and Elliott have once again pledged support with a coat-for-coat match. For every coat dropped off at Wallace, Cooper, and Elliott, a brand new coat will be donated to the Kiwanis “Coats for Kids” effort. All coats donated to the drive can be dropped off at Wallace, Cooper and Elliott between now and October 27th.

If you have a coat you’d like to donate, please drop it off at Wallace, Cooper and Elliott located at 197 South Main Street in Richland Center prior to October 27th. If you have a child in need of a coat, please mark your calendar and come to the Coats for Kids distribution on Thursday night, November 2nd, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Nazarene Church Outreach Center located on South Main Street in Richland Center, across from Family Dollar.
