Week of September 25th Homecomings

A number of area schools are celebrating homecoming this week.

"Board Games - Valley's Got Game!" is the theme for River Valley's Homecoming & School Fair being held Friday, September 29th. This years fair will include all the usual exhibits as well as an interactive machinery display of the agricultural history of the River Valley School District. Tours of the display will be available from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM. The fair will also include a Pedal Pull behind the Middle School from 9:00 to 12:30. The River Valley Homecoming Parade will step off at 2:00 on Friday afternoon (September 29) with this years parade Grand Marshals, Karen and Tim Coyle. The homecoming football game will kick-off at 7:00 Friday night as the Black Hawks play host to the Richland Center Hornets. The homecoming dance will be held Saturday. The Weston Silver Eagles homecoming parade will be held Friday (September 29) at 3:00 in Lime Ridge. A social will follow the parade from 3:30 to 5:00 at Weston School to meet and greet with surprise special guests. A pork feed will be held from 4:30 to 7:00. The homecoming football game against Belmont will be held at 7:00. Following the football game there will be musical entertainment provided by Jake'o McCluskey.

Boscobel continues its homecoming festivities with “Red and White Day” Friday (September 29th) along with a homecoming tailgate party from 11:00 to 12:15 in the West Parking Lot and a pep rally at 1:05 at the football field. The Homecoming Parade will step-off at 2:30 and the football team will host Fennimore. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:00 tonight. The Boscobel Homecoming Dance will be held Saturday from 8:00 to midnight in the Big Gym with the Grand March at 8:30.

The 95th annual Ithaca School Fair & Homecoming will be held this Saturday (September 30). This year's theme is “Betting on the Bulldogs.” Exhibits will be received Friday (September 29) from 1:30 to 6:30 PM. Livestock should be in place by 7:30 Saturday morning (September 30). Judging will begin at 8:00. Other festivities will include: the Meat Animal/Cheese & Butter Auction at 11:30 AM; and a Youth Tractor Pedal Pull at 1:00 PM. The parade will step off at 10:30 on Highway 58. The homecoming football game against Riverdale will kick-off at 1:30 PM; and the Homecoming Dance will be held from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM with the Grand March at 9:30. The 95th annual Ithaca School Fair & Homecoming will conclude with the annual Horse Show on Sunday, October 8, at the Anderson Family Quarter Horse Farm at 10:30 AM.
