Boscobel Food Pantry Receives Brighter Futures Grant

Great Lakes Higher Education Corporation & Affiliates, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping make college a reality, is celebrating 50 years. Headquartered in Madison, with operating centers around the country, employees share the mission: doing what's right to change lives for the better. Thursday morning, July 13th, a check was presented to Southwestern Community Action Program to support a Boscobel non profit.

To celebrate its anniversary it is awarding grants to nonprofit organizations making a difference in the communities where its nine offices are located. Employees of the Boscobel office chose Southwestern Wisconsin Community Action Program (SWCAP) in support of the Boscobel Food Pantry and Thrift Store.

Great Lakes Higher Education Corporation & Affiliates believe community investments help students who are least likely to consider college to continue their education beyond high school, succeed on campus, and graduate ready to reach their full potential. With the help of the Brighter Futures Grant, the Boscobel Food Pantry will be able to reach its full potential.

Great Lakes has awarded over two hundred million dollars to meet its goal of getting students to and through college. A total of $525,000 in Brighter Futures Grants has been awarded to 14 nonprofit organizations based on the funding priorities selected by Great Lakes employees in honor of its 50th anniversary to help the communities they are a part of. Congratulations to the Boscobel Food Pantry and Thrift Store.
