Lower Wisconsin Riverway Canoe Trip

The Lower Wisconsin State Riverway Board will sponsor its next canoe outing on the Wisconsin River Friday, July 7th.

The outings will explore different segments of the river from Prairie du Sac to Boscobel. Water levels and weather permitting, a sandbar stop will be included in each trip. Friday's excursion will run from Muscoda to Port Andrew from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Participants should bring their own beverages, food, sunscreen and bug spray. No glass containers will be allowed. Life jackets and paddles will be provided but participants are welcome to bring their own personal flotation device.

Additional trips are planned. They include: Gotham to Muscoda on Monday, July 10th, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM; Port Andrew to Boscobel on Tuesday, July 11th, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM; Spring Green to Lone Rock on Thursday, July 13th, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM; and Lone Rock to Gotham on Friday, July 14th, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The final canoe trip on the Wisconsin River this summer, sponsored by the Lower Wisconsin State Riverway Board, will be held on Wednesday, July 19th, and will travel from Prairie du Sac to Mazomanie from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Seating is limited to 14 persons and reservations are required. To make a reservation contact the Riverway Board Office (739-3188) Monday through Friday. A waiting list will be developed in case of cancellations.
