2016 Salvation Army Bell Ringers

Families, businesses, individuals, and church or youth groups are all invited to consider signing up to become volunteer bell ringers for this year's Salvation Army Red Kettle Drive.

The local organization is trying to secure interested participants early to allow them the opportunity to fit volunteering into their holiday schedule. Bell ringers will be stationed at Gordy's Market and the Richland Center Wal-Mart.

Red Kettles will be out on five Fridays and Saturdays starting next (November) month. On Friday, November 18th volunteers will be needed at each location from 3:00 until 7:00 PM; and on Saturday, November 19th from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving – November 25th & 26th – volunteers will be needed each day from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Then the following three Fridays volunteers are needed from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, with the three following Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. In addition, bell ringers are needed for Friday, December 23rd from 3:00 until 7:00. A typical volunteer block is one hour, however those who are willing to offer more will be appreciated. Folks are welcome to take one or more blocks of time on any of the available days.

The Red Kettle Drive is the largest and most important fundraiser for the local Salvation Army.

In our community the Salvation Army supports important projects such as natural disaster response; emergency aid for shelter expenses, food, or utilities; and assists individuals and families during unforeseen times-of-need.
