Pine Valley Community Village Move Date Pushed Back
Richland County's Pine Valley facility has gone through many changes since it was first constructed in 1960, but no transformation has been more significant than what is being done presently.
Construction for the 80-bed skilled nursing and 16-bed assisted living facility has been ongoing since last fall. While the building process has gone relatively smoothly for the new “Pine Valley Community Village”, the decision was made last week to push back the move in, open house events, and ribbon cutting to be sure the facility is perfectly ready for residents for Day 1.
Open houses for the public have been rescheduled for Friday, October 21 and Sunday, October 23 from 12 until 2 both days. The move in date will be Thursday, November 3rd.
Pine Valley Community Village plans a host of improvements as a result of the building projects. Some of the highlights include inpatient and outpatient services; private rooms & baths; individual room temperature controls; a neighborhood style design; and increased efficiency in care. Again, the move-in date for Pine Valley has been pushed back to November 3rd. The public is invited to the next informational meeting Tuesday afternoon, September 20th, at 1:30 PM on the 1st floor at Pine Valley.
