HAM Radio Field Day

One person's hobby provides a vital public service in times of need. That describes the world and passion of HAM Radio operators.

That passion and dedication will be on display this Saturday, June 25th during a special field day in Richland Center. The local Pine Valley Repeaters/ARES RACES radio club will be stationed at the lot across Highway 14 from the Clary Memorial Funeral Home and adjacent to the Homesteaders Store. They will show the community how HAM Radio works, while at the same time making various contacts with other HAM's across the nation and world.

The Field Day will kick off at Noon on Saturday. Everyone is welcome to come and see what HAM Radio is all about and see the operators in action. The local Pine Valley Repeaters/ARES RACES radio club will be stationed on Highway 14 on the west side of the city at the former Koch Tractor lot – which is across from the Clary Memorial Funeral Home and adjacent to the Homesteaders Store.
