Richland Center Water Main Flushing
The Richland Center Water Utility will be flushing water mains throughout the city next week. Baring any weather-related or other unexpected delays, from Monday through Friday a different portion of the city will be affected starting at midnight and continuing into the daytime.
On Monday (May 16) the southern portion of the city will have its water mains flushed. This will affect the area from Gage Street south to Wal-Mart, and the south end of the city and Highway 14 East corridor.
Tuesday's (May 17) schedule includes the mid section of the city east of the Pine River from Union Street south to South Street.
On Wednesday (May 18) the Richland Center Water Utility will be flushing mains on the north end of the city from First Street north to 12th Street. Wednesday's plan also includes County AA north to and including the North Industrial Park.
On Thursday (May 19) the entire west side of the Pine River will have water mains flushed.
And on Friday (May 20) work will be done in the the Allison Park area. And on Friday after 8:00 AM all of the Booster Station area will have water mains flushed.
Richland Center Water Utility officials say that the entire water system may experience rusty water or reduced water pressure during these times. The water is considered safe to drink, but could discolor clothes during washing.
