Richland County Electronic Recycling

The 2016 Richland County Electronics Recycling Collection will be held Saturday, May 14th, from 9:00 until Noon at the Richland County Fairgrounds.

The electronics recycling event is designed to allow people to properly dispose of electronic items at the lowest possible cost. Many items will be accepted free of charge, including printers, keyboards, scanners, fax/printer/scanner/copier, and computer speakers; basically anything you can plug into your computer. New this year collected free of charge will be batteries and cell phones.

Monitors, laptops and computer towers will be collected at a charge of $6. Regular sized televisions this year will carry a $10 disposal fee; large flat TV's and projection TV's will cost $25. Household items like stereos and speakers, DVD players, VCR's, DVR's, TV dish, land-line telephones, vacuum cleans, irons, toasters, bread makers, mixers and blenders, juicers, pizza ovens, toothbrushes, heaters, radios and alarm clocks, curling irons, holiday lights, power tools, and more will be $1 each. Freon appliances will be $15 each, non-freon appliances $10 and microwaves and air conditioners $2.

The electronics recycling event is open to everyone from 9:00 until Noon Saturday, May 14th, at the Richland County Fairgrounds.
