Richland Center High School Badger Boys & Girls Representatives

Richland Center High School is pleased to announce the selections of current Juniors for Badger Boys State and Badger Girls State this spring.

Kathleen Peckham has been selected as the 2016 Badger Girls State representative. Kathleen is the daughter of Paul and Julie Peckham. Nina Myszkowski, daughter of Gregory and Jennifer Myszkowski, is the alternate.

Yevheniy Mizin, Noah Johnson, and Caleb Coleman have been selected as the Badger Boys State representatives for 2016. Yevheniy is the son of Aleksandra Baker. Noah is the son of Martin and Kimberly Johnson. Caleb is the son of Thomas and Brenda Coleman. Spencer Stowell, son of Kelly and Mary Stowell, is the alternate.

The purpose of Badger Boys and Badger Girls State is to educate and involve high school students in government simulations preparing them for citizenship in today’s world. Participants “learn by doing” as they function as communities with election of officials at the county and state levels for the week. Badger Boys State – which is held in early June at Ripon College – is sponsored by the local American Legion Post #13. Badger Girls State will be in mid-June at the University of Oshkosh campus. It's sponsored by the local Bayard-DeHart American Legion Auxiliary.
