UW-Extension Winter Crop & Cattle Feeder Programs Update

Richland County UW-Extension will be offering a pair of programs intended for area farm and agriculture producers.

The first program this week will focus on the status of crops during the winter season. Topics that will be covered include emerging technologies in agriculture, managing fertilizer inputs for 2016 along with a potassium research trial update, and a field corn disease management update. The program will take place this Thursday, February 18th from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the East Hall located on the UW-Richland campus.

The second program will take place on Thursday, February 25th from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Phoenix Center in Richland Center. This program will focus more on beef and dairy cattle information. Topics covered include a 2016 livestock market outlook, a veterinary feed directive presentation, and yardage survey results along with recent feeding trial results.
