Last Living Supper Choir Members Sought
Choir rehearsals have begun for the The Living Last Supper.
According to producer Andrew Sharp, over 25 people came to the initial practice last (Sunday) evening. The choir is under the direction of Elisabeth Niemeyer. Five songs have been chosen for the show and all of them were rehearsed. Sharp said there is still plenty of room for additional singers. Anyone who would like to sing in the choir for The Living Last Supper is welcome and encouraged to come to the second vocal rehearsal, which will be next Sunday (January 10) from 1:30 to 3:00 PM in the music room at St. Mary's School in Richland Center.
The Living Last Supper is a living portrayal of Jesus and His disciples on the night before His betrayal. Actors during the production are seated and dressed just as in the famous Da Vinci's painting, with each disciple rising to express his thoughts after hearing that there is a traitor in their midst. The show will be held on March 11th, 12th, and 13th at the Richland County Performing Arts Center/City Auditorium. Again, anyone who would like to be involved in The Living Last Supper in the choir is invited to the next rehearsal – which is planned for next Sunday (Jan. 10) afternoon from 1:30 to 3:00 PM in the music room at St. Mary's School in Richland Center.
