Christmas Week Activities

Many will be celebrating Christmas this Friday, gathering with family and friends. Many will also be celebrating the reason for the season with church services and giving to others. You have an opportunity to do the same in Richland Center.

Christmas Eve Candlelight services will be held this week at 6:00 at Grand View Family Worship and the Free Methodist Church, both in Richland Center. Trinity United Methodist Church will hold a Candlelight Service on Thursday at 7:00 PM, with special music from the Trinity United Methodist Kids and Dr. Janice Alexander. A Christmas Eve Candlelight Service will also be held at First Lutheran Church in Lone Rock at 10 PM.

The annual Community Christmas Day Dinner marks 28 years, with serving at the Church of the Nazarene Outreach Center on Friday (Dec. 25). This year instead of one seating there will be two to allow more to enjoy a comfortable, social event. Servings will be held at noon and 1:00. Those interested in attending the Christmas dinner are reminded to reserve a meal and designate a time by calling 647-8513 and leave a message with how many will be attending on Friday (Dec. 25). Round-trip transportation or delivered meals will also be provided to those in need within five miles of Richland Center. If you would like a meal delivered, leave a message with your name, address, phone number, and number of dinners needed. The deadline to call is Wednesday (Dec. 23). The number again is 647-8513. Volunteers for the effort are also needed. To find out what duties can still be filled, you can also contact the same number and leave your name and telephone number and someone will get back to you. Again, the number to call is 647-8513.
