Richland Center Bus Crash

A school bus with 30 elementary students aboard was involved in a 2-vehicle traffic crash Monday afternoon at 3:23 PM on Bohmann Drive in the City of Richland Center. Fortunately, there were no injuries.

According to Richland Center police officers, the bus was being operated by 45-year old Timothy J. Feryance of Cazenovia. The bus was stopped at the stop sign at the Doudna Elementary School and proceeded out of the parking lot to travel north onto Bohmann Drive. Feryance reportedly failed to yield and turned into a northbound straight truck hauling a skid steer being operated by 75-year old Robert Simpson of Richland Center. Again, there were no injuries as a result of the crash. The school bus incurred moderate damage to the front and front passenger side. Simpson's straight truck incurred moderate damage to the middle driver's side, rear driver's side, and rear. Both vehicles were removed from the scene by their respective owners.
