Richland County Salvation Army Host a Family

2015 has been a good year for the Richland County Salvation Army's Host a Family effort.

At last word all of the families that registered to be served by the program will receive assistance. Host a Family coordinator Jean Lisney reports that about 150 families have been “adopted”. That's actually down by about 50 families from recent years.

Those who have stepped forward to be “hosts” for the program are reminded that the item drop-off is coming up next week. It will take place on Wednesday, December 9, at the Town & Country Presbyterian Church. Please note this is a different drop-off location from previous years. It will be at the Town & Country Presbyterian Church at 345 C. Cairns Avenue in Richland Center.

All of the “guest” families should receive a letter from the Salvation Army by the end of this week that outline the pick-up date and procedures. That is scheduled for next Friday, December 11th. Those with questions can contact the Salvation Army at 649-5825.
