AD German Warehouse Gift Shop

By all accounts, the interest in the City of Richland Center's historical architecture is building.

The latest examples of that come in the form of two on-line publications. The site Windows & Siding.net listed Richland Center as #14 of its “30 Most Architecturally Impressive Small Towns in America;” and PrairieMod.com – one of the foremost sites on the web for architecture and design – has featured Richland Center for number and variety of architectural buildings in the community. It should come as no coincidence that the added recognition is coming hand-in-hand with the efforts to open the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed A.D. German Warehouse to the public.

The German Warehouse is closed for regular visits this year, but the Conservancy will open the building for one last special opportunity in 2015. The building's gift shop will be open this Saturday (Dec. 5) from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The historical walking tour, lead by Lon Arbegust, will leave the Warehouse that afternoon at 1:00 PM.
