Richland Center's Newest Police Officer

Richland Center Chief of Police Lucas Clements has announced that Karl F. Fredriksen was recently hired as the newest police officer for the City of Richland Center.

Officer Fredriksen will fill the patrolman position vacated after Chief Clements’ appointment on July 1st, 2015. Karl Fredriksen is a 2011 graduate of Downers Grove South High School in Illinois and a 2015 graduate of UW-Platteville with a Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice. In August of 2015, Fredriksen successfully completed the Wisconsin Department of Justice-Training and Standards Bureau 520 hour Law Enforcement Recruit Academy through Western Technical College and will become a certified officer upon his hire.

Officer Fredriksen began his employment with the City of Richland Center November 27th and will complete a formal, 12-week field training program with Field Training Officer, Sergeant Lauren Moe before assuming his regular duties.
