11th Annual WRCO Walk With GRACE Auction Recap
The 11th annual WRCO Walk With GRACE Radio Auction is in the books, and thanks to 305 enthusiastic bidders and dozens of generous auction donors, the 2015 auction proved to be the best yet. Thursday's auction total was $10,610 – the best 1-day fundraising total for the event ever. That proved to be the capstone of what was a remarkable story every day this week. The final total of the four days came to $33,190.
With the help of so many who are supportive of the Greater Richland Area Cancer Elimination, the Radio Auction also eclipsed another milestone. In the 11 years of the auction, $203,957 has been raised to support cancer patients seeking help through GRACE. 100% of the funds raised from the auction go directly to GRACE in its ongoing mission to assist local cancer survivors, provide funds for cancer research efforts in Madison and LaCrosse, support the local medical community, and continue local cancer prevention and education efforts.
A complete listing of successful auction bidders for each of the four days can be found at our website: wrco.com. If you were the top bidder, items can now be picked up here at WRCO during regular business hours. If possible, we would like all items to be picked up and paid for by the end of next week.
Attention now turns to the Walk with GRACE itself. This year's Walk is set for the evening of Friday, August 14th. The Survivor Reception and Captain's Night will be Wednesday evening, August 12th at the Phoenix Center. The theme for the 2015 Walk with GRACE is “Our Field of Dreams: Striking Out Cancer.”
